Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical or Electrical bias)
Location; London
Salary; Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours; Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Recruiting on behalf of a Multi-National established Facilities Management company on a Critical contract based in Central London. The experienced Maintenance Supervisor will be managing a team of Multi skilled engineers on a large commercial site in Central London.
Duties will include;
- Planning and allocation of resources on site including the control and issue of materials and equipment to the team of engineers.
- Maintaining the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Statutory Compliance Programme for the services under their control ensuring they are completed within the agreed SLA’s.
- Assist the Technical Service Manager with updating Asset Registers when equipment is replaced as part of Life Cycle or Small Works Programme for the site
- Assist the Technical Service Manager with identifying Training and support of operatives and guidance in using correct methods and procedures including Health and Safety requirements and welfare of staff
- Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report your line Manager regarding any dangers; hazards or other defects/issues that may be encountered
- To develop a detailed knowledge of contract specification, work area and work schedules and to allocate and organise staff duties to conform to the service specification
- Assist the Technical Service Manager with carrying out regular reporting in relation to SLA compliance, problem areas etc, recording actions taken or to be taken and any escalations
- Assisting in the recruitment of team members as and when required
- Carry out regular site audits and work standard inspections
- Minimise disruption to the client’s business and maintain the required availability of the key functional areas throughout their estate
- Assist Maintenance Teams in any daily issues in delivery of the maintenance service
Skills and experience;
- Proven track record in successful supervisory people management Valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH (1 or 5day) / NEBOSH
- Experience in the Mechanical, Fabric or Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules
- Building Management Systems experience
- IT literate FM Management Information Systems, MS Word, Power point and Excel
- Experience of Supervising and controlling similar contracts/site delivery teams
